Have you ever wanted to know what goes into manufacturing a high-performance crate engine? We collaborated with YouTuber, Mitchell Stapleton, and took him on a tour of the BluePrint Engines facility to give viewers an inside look of our plant located in Kearney, Nebraska.
Beginning with a raw casting, we guide you through the facility and describe how each machine works, taking a bare engine block and building it into a complete crate engine that is ready to be shipped to your door and bring your project vehicle to life. From Chevy, Ford and Chrysler small blocks to our massive stroker big blocks with LS engines in between, BluePrint Engines offers a variety of crate engines with varying levels of dress and horsepower to meet your needs. We are proud to say that we cast, machine and assemble our crate engines in the USA!
In this tour video, we also introduce a few of our many great employees and talk about the numerous jobs involved in producing a quality crate engine. We are always looking to expand our team, so be sure to check out the “Careers” page on our website if you’re interested in working around V8 engines all day.
We think one of the best parts of working at the BluePrint Engines facility is listening to the roaring sound of V8 engines on the dyno all day long! We give viewers a look inside one of our many dyno rooms where we test all of our engines and tune them to produce a desired horsepower and torque output. We also run our largest displacement engine – a BluePrint 632ci stroker big block – on the dyno and explain how we perform the dyno tests.
